Croatia is introducing the euro as its official currency on January 1, 2023.
Banks should follow the same procedure:
On the euro introduction date, the Bank will carry out the conversion of kuna funds in bank accounts, deposits, loans, and other monetary values, automatically and free of charge, according to the fixed conversion exchange rate of: 1 euro = HRK 7.53450.
Some banks will also allow the creation of new accounts, which, if the bank sets up an API according to PSD2 rules, can be connected to Board as another bank account.
The procedures of individual banks may differ slightly, we cannot influence this in any way.
It is important to remember that you have a fixed base currency in the Board app (see information here).
Even after Croatia transitions to EUR, the base currency in the Board app will still remain the same. That is, you will still see the statistics in our application in the base currency you have set.
How to change the base currency?
The only way is to delete all user data (can be done on Android or Web App - see information here). But it is necessary to expect that you will lose all settings and transaction history. It is also possible to subsequently import data into Wallet via the import function.
